National standard of People Republic of China is GB/T14308-2003 Tourism Hotels Star Division and Evaluation. This standard is proposed by National Tourism Bureau of PRC, sorted by National Tourism Standardization Technical Committee (CBTS/TC210), and drafted by Quality Standardization and Management Department of National Tourism Bureau Of PRC.
　　With social economic development and China’s open policy, the tourism hotels’ external environment and market structure have changed a lot. And the hotels also have an elaborate division of labor and market orientation according to different customer sources and their consumption level. In order to enhance greater standardization and specialization of the management and service of tourism hotel industry and make them conform to our nation’s reality and consistent with international development tendency, this standard should be revised from time to time.
